Pepper Jack cheese is a semi-soft, cow’s milk cheese that has a spicy kick due to the addition of jalapeño peppers, serrano peppers, and habañero peppers. It is a derivative of Monterey Jack cheese, which is a mild white cheese that melts well. The peppers used to make Pepper Jack cheese can vary in spiciness, resulting in a range of heat levels. This Happy Cow production is delicious, and a must try!

Happy Cow Creamery is a unique, on-the-farm milk bottling operation offering high quality, fresh milk directly from its own dairy cows in Pelzer, South Carolina. At the creamery, the cows roam grassy pastures planted with forages to enrich the natural milk making process. There are no synthetic fertilizers, just  natural compost. The milk produced is not homogenized, and the milk is low temperature pasteurized.

Ingredients: pasteurized milk, cheese cultures, salt, enzymes, jalapenos or habaneros (optional, black peppercorns)
