Brown Family Farm

Established in 1865 by Byron C. Brown, Brown Family Farm's legacy spans generations of resilience. Post-emancipation from Oakley Grove Plantation, Byron cultivated crops and livestock. Grover continued the tradition, adding a peach orchard in 1935. Rev. Dr. Arthur A. Brown sustained the farm until 2003, focusing on livestock, grains, and tobacco. Today, Patrick Brown leads, transitioning from tobacco to hemp and embracing regenerative practices. Committed to organic farming since 2016, the farm plans certification. Patrick's leadership extends to the black farming community, highlighted in conferences and podcasts, embodying a legacy of agricultural excellence.

Remove any bands, twist ties, etc. Most greens must be kept in an air‐tight container with a damp cloth to keep them from drying out. Collards even do well in a cup of water on the counter or fridge.
