Trout, "Hickory Smoked Fillet"| Sunburst Trout
Our Hickory Smoked Fillets come from the plumpest part of the fillet, the loin. Slowly smoking for 7 hours in our smoker produces a succulent, tender, and slightly smoky fillet that you are sure to love. Each fillet comes individually packed in recyclable bags and portioned to approximately 5oz.
The fillet portion is ready to eat, and we recommend serving at room temperature for the subtle oils and fragrance to be enhanced.

For over 70 years Sunburst Trout Farms® has been cared for by the same family and is currently run by third-generation brothers, Wes and Ben Eason. Sunburst is located in picturesque Haywood County, NC, and the colorful rainbow trout are grown in the pristine waters coming from the Shining Rock Wilderness in the Pisgah National Forest. After harvest they processed within thirty minutes at a state-of-the-art facility down the road in Waynesville. Their commitment to quality shows in the products they produce. From their flagship fillets to award winning rainbow trout caviar and trout jerky, they also produce a myriad of other products including hickory smoked fillets, traditional and pastrami style cold smoked, smoked trout dip, trout sausage, and more.
